ASCENSION:

A mostly dry and quite sunny week, though with some showers, most notably early mornings Thursday and Sunday.  Temperatures near the seasonal average.

ST. HELENA:

The temperature was fairly average for the time of year, and there were some sunny spells.  Though it has at times been rather showery over the last week, with a fair bit more rain than recently.

UK:

Low pressure over the Atlantic close to Britain gave a rather unsettled spell of weather over the UK last week, with showers or longer periods of rain at times for all parts.  It was rather cool for the time of year over much of Scotland at first, with a slight frost overnight in some parts of the Highlands early in the week, turning a little milder later.  England and Wales were warmer with temperatures of 20 to 23 Celsius reached at times.

FALKLANDS:

Low pressure close to the Falklands brought strong SW’ly winds and outbreaks of rain early last week.  Though the wind soon turned to a milder and generally drier West to NW’ly direction.  However further weather fronts did move over the islands to give a little patchy rain at times.
