Week 6 Round Up:

The early kick off saw two teams in the bottom half of the league face off against each other.  Athletico Dildao opened the scoring early against  Real Socialdads with 3 goals from Schmicheal and Mycle. Real were only warming up however as they equalised and were in the lead before the end of the first half. An even tempered game proved to be equally evenly matched.  After leading for most of the second half, Real conceded a sixth goal in the dieing seconds of the game to tie the game at 6-6. The second game saw bottom of the league Dynamic Five take on league title contenders The A-Team.  The Ladybirds gave a debut start to their new signing Lewis and were now with their captain Crocky once again. Dynamic Five started the game well with great energy and an opening goal from their new signing. The A-Team were without their star striker  Ashley Dutch but still had significant fire power in Aaron Boot and Chris O’Rourke. Dolly went on to score a hattrick in this match while Crocky’s heroics between the sticks kept The A-Team at bay. Like the sea crashing against a rocky shore, however, The A-Team were relentless and in the second half managed to break down the ladybirds. They went on to stay in the lead and win the match by 9 goals to 4. The third match saw the hotly anticipated contest between league leaders Travellers Hill Billies and the inglorious C-Men. As the game got underway it became clear that The C-Men had set up to weather an almighty storm. Against the run of play the C-Men opened the scoring but the goal was cancelled out by an effort from Shonray. A tense match played out with Rasta being crucial in keeping The C-Men in the match. The older of the Muertes brothers even got a debut goal as the C-Men went on to win the match by a score of 4 goals to 2. Rapturous applause broke out among the fans and a pitch invasion was barely contained by stewards. With this famous victory the C-Men jump to 4th place and the Hill Billies have been dethroned at the top of the league. This crucial result now means the last week of fixtures will decide the league champions. The last match of the night saw the newly named Bayer Alwayslusen face Inter Minan. Bayer picked up goal keeper, Ben “Moza”, on a short term loan spell f and had star player Dominic back from injury. Moza proved to be a demon in nets denying Inter Minans strikers on multiple 1V1 occasions. Despite being a close affair Bayer could have scored far more goals had their strikers been able to hit a barn door. Inter Minan powered through to victory winning by 4 goals to 3 and climb to the top of the table setting up a tasty clash with The Hill Billies this week.
