Easter is now over and we can now look forward to the upcoming Ascension Day Fair.

Sadly we are very short on the news front this week and it definitely shows with this very slim Islander.

Happy Reading

Casey

Hi!

My name is Petra Maanstroem, and I am a
journalist and author working for one of the
biggest daily newspapers in Sweden. I'm also
hosting one of Sweden's biggest blogs about
running (blog.svd.se/maratonbloggen).

I am very interested in finding new races to run
in remote places. And after some googling I
found the Dew Pond Run at Ascension Island. Do
you know when this race will take place this
year? And where can I find more information
about it?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards from Petra Maanstroe

YOU ARE MY FANTASY ISLAND
Hello my name is Sue I am from the USA, Mansfield Ohio.  Several years ago I found the Islander News Page online.  I subscribed to receive it by email.  Since then each time I have read it, I sit at my computer and follow all the adventures and news of this beautiful Island.  I am 67 years old and have disabilities.  I will never get to visit you folks.
I wanted to let you all know I have lived a in-part as a person on your island, going on the Hash viewing the school and church activities.
You have helped my life to be so much more enjoyable.  Thank you to the people of Ascension Island.  May you all live long and prosper.  Sue
