ASCENSION ISLAND CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT
The Conservation Department produces a newsletter four times each year – the Conservation Quarterly, updating people on-island and overseas about on-going projects. The first edition for this year can now be downloaded from the AIG website:
Please download the latest edition to find more out about work being carried out to safeguard our endemic plants, new estimates of land crab age, sea turtle monitoring, help in Green Mountain National Park from the Air Cadets, and much more!!
The Conservation Office in Georgetown is open from 7:30am – 10am on week days but due to fieldwork commitments, staff will only sporadically be in the office throughout the rest of the day. For the next 4 weeks we are unfortunately not open on Saturday mornings due to staff holiday. Please come in and see us if you are interested in finding out more about conservation work on Ascension or if you would like to purchase something from our shop!
Please contact us if you have any questions or would be interested in volunteering at Ascension Island Conservation Centre, Georgetown. Tel: 6359. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
