Ascension : Hash Trash: Hash No 1493
Submitted by The Islander (Islander Editors) 19.12.2013 (Article Archived on 09.01.2014)

It was a surprisingly large turnout for this week’s hash.

Hash Trash: #1493

Hares: The Last Turtle Head of Doom
Hounds: Glitoris,Hairy Leftovers, Hairy Hal, Herr-lein Disaster Chef, Dipstick, Missing McGonagall, Blade Runner, Over-n-Done With and Eliza

It was a surprisingly large turnout for this week’s hash. As the hashers arrived by bicycle, motor bike and car, expecting just a couple of people, TLTHoD had, in his usual dilatory fashion, not bothered to actually set a hash. However, in a truly rare flash of genius the hash quickly became a live hare hash, and the younger hashers were sent off.

The older hashers followed along in what turned out to be a leisurely stroll to the Bullocks Ponds Letterbox, nested pleasantly in a Eucalyptus grove. After a few moments to sign the Letterbox book and to enjoy the Elysian delights the hash headed back, some using the trail and the younger hashers, led by the Hash Master opted for the ridgeline so the sounds of the mighty vuvuzela could be heard echoing over the Grazing Valley.

Arriving back at the cars there was still time for some tasty beverages and conversation before the hashers headed off for a variety of holiday functions. Not the hash’s most exciting episode but still a pleasant way to enjoy a lazy Saturday afternoon.
