Ascension : THE PHYLISS CORKER ELIMINATOR DARTS COMPETITION
Submitted by The Islander (Mario Anthony) 15.08.2013 (Article Archived on 03.10.2013)

Phyliss was a regular player in darts competitions at Two Boats Club, and in her

memory a darts eliminator competition was organized. 30 players took part and competed for the three attractive trophies.

The competition included all the very best dart players on Ascension, and this provided a fantastic evening of sporting entertainment and enjoyment. From the onset the games were too close to call, and the final, between Lane Crites

of the US Base and Ricco Williams of Interserve, was evenly matched and riveting to watch.

Congratulations to the Eliminator Champion Lane, and to Ricco the runner-up.

Congratulations also to Krystal Clifford on winning the trophy for the highest ladies score (105).

Special thank you to Richard Kilsby , CSO, for the contribution towards the trophies.

As a fitting tribute to Phyllis, her husband Peter and grandson Jude presented the trophies.

Yvette Morton, a close friend of Phyliss, presented Peter with a small gift from the

Two Boats Club.

Thank you to everyone for giving their support and ensuring it was indeed a special event to the memory of a very special lady.
