A new course of Bible study commenced on Sunday last. For those interested in finding out more about St. John’s Gospel do join the group meeting at Dr. Bill’s  house on Sunday evenings at 7-00pm.. My grateful thanks to Bill and Felicity who are hosting the course which lasts for eight weeks, and a big thank you to  Gavin who has provided the teaching aids to make the course possible.

Apart from the Bible Study on Sunday evenings for adults, it is hoped that an interesting programme of activities, Christian discussions and music can be started  in this month which will be of interest to the island youth.

Food for thought:

“ Jesus did not promise simply life after death, but a quality of life now. He promised us eternal life, the sharing of God’s life, participation in his own risen  life. He said that he had come to give us abundant life—sufficient to keep the  body in health and strength, to illuminate and guide the mind, to bring peace to the heart. If we have that life within us now, we shall not worry about our last migration into the spiritual world, for we shall know a good deal about it already.”

George Appleton,  “Journey for a Soul”

This coming Sunday is the Second Sunday after Epiphany, our celebration of the

Eucharist begins at 10-30am. All welcome!

 Father Chris.
