The Ascension Island Government is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified or experienced person to fill a post of Roads Supervisor with the European Union funded EDF10 Roads Project.

 
ASCENSION ISLAND GOVERNMENT

VACANCY – ROADS PROJECT SUPERVISOR

The Ascension Island Government is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified or experienced person to fill a post of Roads Supervisor with the European Union funded EDF10 Roads Project. 

The main duties will be to lead and supervise a roads team and deliver the roads project within specified project parameters. The successful applicant will also need to carry out building and civil’s supervision on other AIG projects as directed.

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate at least five years’ experience of onsite supervision of buildings and civil’s projects. The ability to work to specifications and working drawings is critical and the ability to set out levels and operate plant is desirable but not essential.

 

Please note that stevedore duties will be a core function for the above post during visits of the RMS St. Helena.

 

The post is for a period of eighteen months only and is offered on household (only suitable for persons living on Ascension who are already members of another person’s household that provides accommodation and allowances) or single status terms. The successful candidate might also be expected to share a house (two persons) as part of the accommodation arrangements.

Salary for the above post will fall within Grade 6 (£8,620 - £13,981 per annum) and will depend upon qualifications and experience. If engaged on single status the successful candidate will also receive a food allowance of £2,825 per annum.
