ASCENSION ISLAND GOVERNMENT

TEMPORARY VACANCIES – HEALTH SERVICES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified or experienced persons to fill the following temporary positions:

  • Temporary Secretary/Hospital Administrator for the period 3 May 2012 to 19 June 2012; and
  • Temporary Receptionist to the Optometrist for the period 13 June 2012 to 3 July 2012.

The principle duties of the Temporary Secretary/Hospital Administrator are to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Medical Officer during the absence on leave of the substantive holder of the post. The Temporary Receptionist is required to provide receptionist and limited cashier support to the visiting Optometrist – Priscilla Brown.

The successful candidates must:

·         Have a good standard of education. 

·         Be able to give high attention to details and accuracy.

·         Have the ability to work set hours.

·         Be flexible to meet the needs of the Organisation.

·         Have the ability to work independently and use own initiative and judgement and to know when to refer matters (Essential).

·         Be computer literate.

·         Have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

·         Have good customer care skills.

These are household status positions therefore no accommodation or allowances will be provided.  Salary will depend upon qualifications and/or experience.
