Relief that the choice of location this week took us to lower ground, the group met at the camel sign on the English Bay Road.  Uncle Fester gave a brief brief.  There were quite a gaggle of little hashers so they were to be shepherded off  to the crag giving the runners a good chance to stretch their legs.

The runners were told of their seven circle checks as they set off down the pipeline.  Hash led them towards the larva field, up and over the back of the crags.  At the second circle check, Uncle Fester and Wood ‘n’ Pecker climbed onto the hill and saw the little people making their slow way to the bottom of the coal chute.  When the little people were waiting for William to catch up, Mucky Princess reminded them of the 10 press-ups rule.  Soon all the little people were doing their press ups in the Klinka.

Hash led the group to the entrance of the Bat Cave hornitos, hopeful hashers looked to see if there was any hash in the bottom but…Uncle Fester hadn’t gone this far this time.  Some relief was expressed from boy Racer.

The two groups met at the top of the coal chute.  Uncle Fester leading the way of course in style.  Some choose to bum slide while others ran.  For some, once wasn’t enough and Uncle Fester and wood  ‘n’Pecker  were helping the little folk back up.  Once was definitely enough for Helen who holed her shorts on the way down.

Back at the base, hash business needed attending to.  John was first to be named.  As people were collecting their water he could be heard shouting ‘Half a Cup’, therefore he was named. See you again in the future John.   William was named Buzz Lightyear, Isabella is now ‘Mirror Poser’ and Alexandra ‘Catwalk’.  Children are kindly given a gentle hand wetting initiation but Sharktail had other ideas for Catwalk.   The fashion theme continued when Helen was named ‘Gok Wan’.  She insists it is nothing to do with the ‘How to look good naked’ program and more about a drastic haircut.

The Easter bunny had been busy on the hash this week and laid a trail of chocolate bunnies for the children to collect.  Precious big cups had been transformed into Easter baskets and the kids went charging off  in different directions to collect their fill.  Others kept the beer chilled and looked on.

Thanks Uncle Fester for taking us through the larva and introducing some to the hornitos and fun to be had sliding down Klinka on Ascension.

Next week is a camping hash, hash as normal then afterwards the option to stay over.  Bottom of the hill on the North East Bay road.  Look out for the hash.

Next week:  North East Bay Road.  4.30

Hare:  Uncle Fester and Old Golly Waddler

Bring :  a plate of eats (and a tent)
