ASCENSION DETACHMENT
Christmas Campaign ‘Choices’

It is so easy during the festive season or during any celebrations to over indulge with alcohol and what we expected to be a dangerous and life threatening period we were very pleased with a relatively quiet campaign.  Statistically and physically it was evident that drivers were making the right choices, there were no serious incidents, and it appeared that drivers avoided putting themselves in situations where they would drive after consuming alcohol, credit must also be given to organizations that supported our campaign by providing transport and designated drivers for functions and events.

Please be advised that it is our objective to Enforce Road Safety, to reduce road traffic accidents and other causes which can result in death or serious injuries, we want our roads to be safe, we will do our utmost to achieve our objective, but we need the support of our community, so our advice, if you can prevent anyone from driving whilst under the influence of alcohol, please do so,  don’t allow yourself to be driven by them, and if they won’t listen to reason call the Police, if you are a passenger in a speeding vehicle, tell them to stop, get out of the vehicle, your actions will have an impact on the driver.  You could save a life or prevent serious injury or damage to property.

Until next time Keep Safe
