Ascension : GOLF NEWS

Last Sunday One Boat Golf Club held the Dr. Bill trophy, 15 players turned out for this competition, they played 18 holes, front nine medal back nine stableford, ie:medalford.



An enjoyable day on the course was had by all, front nine winner was: Paul Edwards, back nine winner: Patrick Moyce.


runner up overall was: Brian Speedy Henry, overall winner on the day was: Lawson Henry, with a great round of golf,


gross 66 on the day, well done to you all. The two ball pool was shared by Lawson and Paul as both having a single two in their round


well done lads.


Next Saturday the golf club will be holding the Deano and Caz 9 hole cross country challenge, 3 person Texas Scramble, shotgun


start at 1400hrs, followed by a bit of food and the usual gathering and chat. So get along to the golf club and sign up on the notice board


find your partners and get out there, you know it makes sense.


As for last weeks Dr Bill, competition I would just like to thank again, Al Mack for a great pot of soup, Dover for the sandwiches and chicken,


and for those who turned up on the day thanks to you all, see you on Saturday, keep swinging......................................
