ESS on Ascension Island has a vacancy for an Assistant Chef to work with their catering team.

ESS on Ascension Island has a vacancy for an Assistant Chef to work with their catering team.

Main duties of the post are: -

 

·        Assist in the preparation and cooking of food.

·        Kitchen Hygiene.

 

Free food, accommodation and uniforms will be provided. The contract is single status and is for the duration of one year.  Due to this being the last year of this existing contract it will expire on 31 March 2007, however if a new employer takes over all terms & conditions will remain under Tupe regulations.  Contracted hours are fifty per week to be worked any six out of seven days on a rota basis.

The successful applicant must be able to work as a team, as well as on his or her own and be prepared to undergo a security clearance.

Training will be given in Basic Food Hygiene and Health and Safety.
