Ascension : ASCENSION MAGISTRATES’ COURT

WILLIAM STUART LEECE, aged 36, a Fire Fighter employed by Serco Aerospace, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court

WILLIAM STUART LEECE, aged 36, a Fire Fighter employed by Serco Aerospace, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 22 March and pleaded Guilty to a charge of dangerous or reckless driving.
The Court heard that the charge arose from an accident which occurred on the Gannet Road, US Base during the evening of Sunday 26 February. 
Mr Leece, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Johnny Hobson, was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £235, plus £648.51 compensation in respect of the damage caused to the perimeter fencing.

ASCENSION MAGISTRATES’ COURT

BARRY DAVE PHILLIPS, aged 38, a Carpenter Supervisor employed by AIG, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 28 March and pleaded Guilty to charges of careless driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
The Court heard that the charges arose from an accident which occurred on the road at Chinatown, Georgetown during the early evening of Sunday 19 March.
Mr Phillips, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Johnny Hobson, was ordered to pay fines totalling £250, plus £1016.36 compensation in respect of the damage caused to the vehicle.  He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
